Arav Exports primarily an exporting company of indian handmade home decoratives including rug, furniture and antiques having sales operations in Europe and USA. we are familiar with worldwide trends in this industry and are working to get the best products for the Indian markets.

Galicha a brand by ARAV EXPORTS,will be India's first company in the organised retail sector of soft floor covering. Galicha is looking to pioneer the retail of "Power Loom Area & Handloom Rugs" through the organized retail sector - all over India. Power Loom Area Rugs are high technology machine made carpets based on digital design with a possibility of over 2.0 million points per sq. mt. This means a carpet with an almost painting like feel in design comparable to the defination of even the best hand made carpets in the world.

In comparison to a hand knotted rug a machine made rug of almost same look and feel, costs about 4-5 times cheaper.

Our price range is between Rs 1600 to Rs 20000.

The pricing is controlled by the number of points per sqmt in the carpet which can be controlled. We are looking to launch products at 3 price points. High Quality, Mid Quality and Regular Quality. The Carpets will be available from 2x3ft. upto 8x10ft. and customised sizes also.

An infinite design base. Galicha is currently looking to maintain 3 design rationales -Tradional, Contemporary and Modern

A dynamic design base allowing quick shifts in design philosophy based on consumer trends. As designs are digitally developed and not limited by human skill as in the case of hand made carpets.

Galicha wishes to establish its image as a single brand company for lifestyle home decor products and home decor accents through out the Indian Subcontinent.

A key philosophy behind our operations is going to be full backward integration. That would mean that we independently handle all operations in the entire chain from import or manufacture to final retail. Thus providing major cost advantages.
Another aspect of focus for our operations is use of IT - allowing efficient control of logistics and managements.

India and the Indian-subcontinent have been the largest producers of handmade rugs since hundreds of years. Unfortunately a very small percentage of people living in these countries could afford to keep these classic art forms under their feet because of their affordability. As it would take a months and years to weave them, only the flourishing rich countries could buy them and enjoy the elegance of these rugs.

Lately a worldwide trend of creating this art mechanically has further enhanced the affordability of the rugs while keeping the designs, texture and look the same if not better. We are producing the same look-alike area rugs of our tradition past via hi-tech power looms and with cheaper yarns then wool and silk called Olefin (ploy.Prop./ Synthetics etc.).

In comparision to a hand knotted rug a machine made rug of almost same look and feel costs about 4-5 times cheaper. But the only difference here we can have is the longevity . A hand made rug has a good life of more than hundred yeas and sill has its value whereas a machine made rug would have its life about 15-20 years depending on the traffic over it and probably would not have a resale value.
